Well if you thought Samsung was the black sheep who is going crazy by extending screen sizes , you need to read further. Panasonic recently announced a new Windows 8.1 tablet and with this announcement it pushed the boundaries and limits with the tablet coming hot at 20 inches in terms of dimensions and with a 4K 3840 x 2560 panel that put everyone else to shame.
This Toughpad 4K UT-MB5 has a specification set as follows : Core i5 CPU, NVIDIA GeForce 745M GPU, a 256GB SSD, and 8GB RAM. Having entered a new segment of mobile products altogether , you instantly expect a premium price tag but $6000 is mind-boggling expensive.
This tablet was expected to go on Sale before end of this year however there is less hope that the company would be able to supply the product even to the States by the slated time.
The Microsoft Surface proved to be a failure thanks to Windows RT and the overpriced Surface Pro has failed to capture the market as much as Microsoft has hoped. So, Redmond has stepped up their game with an even more expensive version that they launched in Japan today, a 256GB variant of the Surface Pro.
