Well if you thought Samsung was the black sheep who is going crazy by extending screen sizes , you need to read further. Panasonic recently announced a new Windows 8.1 tablet and with this announcement it pushed the boundaries and limits with the tablet coming hot at 20 inches in terms of dimensions and with a 4K 3840 x 2560 panel that put everyone else to shame.
This Toughpad 4K UT-MB5 has a specification set as follows : Core i5 CPU, NVIDIA GeForce 745M GPU, a 256GB SSD, and 8GB RAM. Having entered a new segment of mobile products altogether , you instantly expect a premium price tag but $6000 is mind-boggling expensive.
This tablet was expected to go on Sale before end of this year however there is less hope that the company would be able to supply the product even to the States by the slated time.
Just when everyone couldn’t care less about optical discs, Sony and Panasonic has announced that they are teaming up to create a new optical disc standard, with accompanying technology, that will have a minimum storage capacity of 300GB, that’s right GIGABYTE. The duo are clearly not going to gice up, but the question is; who will use discs if there is cloud storage?
