After the failure of the Tegra 4, will Nvidia’s new Tegra 4i make it to your future smartphone?

without comments

After a humongous failure by Nvidia to push the Tegra 4 to see the light of the day, the company is ready with it’s latest offering in terms of the new Tegra 4i which Nvidia believes shall be rocked by major smartphones next year.

However we need to slow down in terms of expectations just in case we are overlooking the fact that the Tegra 4i is a slightly scaled down version of the Tegra 4 with added LTE/HSPA+ Baseband support. NVIDIA is confident that the  4i should launch in Q1 2014, and actually ship by Q2 at the latest which is backed up by the fact that AT&T has already certified the 4i for its future smartphones.

In any case, let’s just hope the new Tegra 4i atleast stands as a competitor taking the current Qualcomm dominated markets in consideration.
