After months and months of constant bickering by Windows Phone users, and the use of a magnitude of different unofficial Instagram clients such as Instance and Hipstamatic’s Oggl, Instagram has started striking back at users who make use of unofficial Instagram clients by deleting such users’ uploads.
The move, albeit to combat spam uploads, has resulted in an outcry by Windows Phone users who have been crying for several months, begging the company to release a Windows Phone application. Nokia has even had a campaign in which they tried to bully Instagram into creating an official Instagram for Windows Phone application through #2InstaWithLove which failed miserably. Instagram has started deleted uploads by users that use unofficial Instagram clients, of which several are Windows Phone applications such as the popular Instance. Instagram officially noted that the deletions were caused by a change in their APIs that have been made to combat spam uploads on the service, all unofficial offerings seems to have been affected.
Instance’s creator, Daniel Gary, has taken to Twitter to calm disgruntled users down and promising a fix soon with the possibility of refunds being offered to users who purchased the application for their devices. Best to get an iPhone or Android device then, hey?
It has been well over two years since Nokia adopted Microsoft’s new (at the time) Windows Phone operating system to replace their ageing Symbian, later renamed Belle, operating system. After two years of uphill battles, Nokia is finally starting to show some rewards albeit minor ones, but sadly Microsoft doesn’t seem to share the same enthusiasm over their mobile offering as Nokia does.
What’s really big and has a Nokia logo on it? Not the newly announced Nokia Lumia 625. Nokia seems to be working on an oversized phone, or phablet, of their own which is more than likely set to feature Windows Phone as its operating system. All of this comes from a new leak showing off what appears to be a front panel for a Nokia device that will feature a 6-inch display.
Nokia Lumia 625 with 4.7-inch screen leaked, may be Nokia’s answer the the Galaxy S4 Mini and One Mini
As the ‘Mini’ smartphone faf takes over, Nokia has joined in on the fun, or at least they will soon. The Nokia Lumia 625 has leakd, courtesy of China’s certificate association, TENAA, and may be Nokia’s answer to the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, HTC One Mini and quite possible the Apple iPhone Mini.
The Nokia Lumia 1020 (EOS or 909) has been the subject of many, many leaks over the passed few months and is set to be launched later this week in New York City, thus it seems fit that one of its key accessories leak out as well.
Nokia finally announced their new Nokia Lumia 925, an updated version of the Nokia Lumia 925 that sees a complete overhaul to the appearance of the device. It did come with a few surprises too though.
It seems that Nokia and Verizon has gotten tired of teasing all of the Lumia 928’s features including showing off the device after the device was officially announced today with all previous leaks proving to be spot on, but the price has caught everyone off guard.
The still unannounced Nokia Lumia 928 has appeared in a set of images yet again, no surprises really, but this set of official images have also been accompanied by low-light video comparisons between the Lumia 928, iPhone 5 and Galaxy SIII.
The Nokia Lumia 928 is undoubtedly Nokia’s worst kept secret of all time. Last week the device leaked in a large ad used on a billboard, then this morning it leaked in a two-page spread in Vanity Fair magazine with a detailed image and a link to an official teaser page hinting the device’s impending arrival in the near future.
Nokia’s worst kept secret since the Nokia Lumia 900 has gotten a bit more difficult to hide after a billboard seems to have sprung up overnight showing off the device and touting it as having “The best low-light smartphone camera.”
