Nokia World is set to make a return on October 22 in Abu Dhabi. Thus far three of the rumoured six devices that the Finns are set to announce have been leaked, now another has joined in on the fun, the Asha OS powered Nokia Asha 502.
The Nokia Asha 502 is aimed at the largest part of the smartphone market, the entry level market that dominates Asia, Africa and Latin America. Nokia aims to make the Asha 502 a great alternative to other Android powered devices in the same range, and it may very well pay off. The Asha 502 packs another see-through-plastic-over-polycarbonate body, first seen on the leaked Nokia Asha 500 which is also set to make a debut at Nokia World 2013. The Asha 502 packs WiFi as well as Dual SIM capabilities, an LED flash next to its camera as well as the popular LINE messenger; making it the highest end of the three current Asha OS devices.
Microsoft is set to acquire the company, if all the necessary government regulators and shareholders approve the deal, meaning these devices may very well be the last Asha OS devices ever made, in fact the last real Nokia devices ever made.
Nokia today made rumours a reality when the officially launched the Nokia Asha 501 in New Delhi, India; the device showing off the assets gained through their Smarter Phone acquisition.
