It has been a long time coming, but yesterday Motorola officially announced the Moto X. The device, which has leaked over several months leading to its announcement, will go on sale at the end of this month from all major US carriers with AT&T getting some exclusives yet again. The Moto X is also set to launch in several other countries later this year.

The Moto X is set to become the first ever mass produced smartphone that is made in the US and with its loads of customization options, it’s likely to become a hot product in the midrange sectors. As it’s likely to remain a US-only device, the rest of the world will have to settle for a Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini or HTC One Mini.
