Intel literally wants your PC to go mobile and has seriously invested humongous efforts to make this possible. Intel’s Edison is a full featured Dual-Core Pentium class processor having Bluetooth and WiFi capabilities.
The amazingly small development board is part of Intel’s drive to offer a suitably small, but yet powerful, platform that can fit into almost any household object, from wearable tech to coffeemakers, and even coffee cups. Intel is eyeing all wearable companies with this latest offering and even want’s to give a fat pay check to someone who comes with innovative ideas to “Make it Wearable”
Running n a low-power 22nm Intel Quark processor the Edison is a fully working computer with a 400MHz dual-core CPU that can run Linux. It also has its own app store and all this is really too good for starters.
