Very rarely do we come across an attack that isn’t very easy and obvious to avoid. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what we’re looking at today, upon the announcement of a new DoS vulnerability affecting certain Nexus-family handsets.
A new vulnerability came to light in the form of an SMS-based attack today. Flash messages are meant to be displayed in case of emergencies without user interaction and they are handled very promptly.
If users on the Galaxy Nexus 4 and 5 are to receive more than 30 or so flash messages then these devices seem to run out of responsiveness. Google is aware of the situation, and says that it’s investigating things.
The Nexus 5 has been taking the media abuzz ever since early rumours of it’s release surfaced. This time once again, Nexus 5 makes news and with good reason. unlike previous releases, the device is not only already available in India so soon after launch, but is also officially available from the Indian Google Play Store!

New Nexus 7? Oh yes, something that has been hiding in the distance for a while now, at least after Google I/O didn’t show off Google’s next iteration of its popular Nexus tablet.
