CyanogenMod has been really making headlines since earlier this year when it was incorporated. Just last week we saw CyanogenMod introduce it’s installer on the Play Store to attract what they say less tech-savy people. We expect to see a lot more from Cyanogen Inc. over the coming months, and one new rumor out today suggests that includes plans for a full-on CyanogenMod phone.
That means a phone custome built and integrated to run CyanogenMod as it’s only intended OS.One detail that we do have is that it may positively be running on the Snapdragon 8974AC SoC.
We do not know much about the chipset yet but it is going to a Snapdragon 800 series variant. There is some specualtion that Gionee – a Chinese Phone manufacturer may partner with CyanogenMod but that’s far from confirmed.
Did you always want a really built smartphone with close to minimal bloat-ware with the just the most functional features? Oppo seems to have fulffiled many requests here with their new Limited Edition Oppo N1 that now comes with Cyanogen off the shelf.
This deal sounds even more awesome when coupled with the fact the Limited Edition CyanogenMod N1 comes at the same price as the regular one.
