More Than 10 Million People Have Downloaded BBM for iOS and Android in The Last 24 Hours, Have You?

If you are a BlackBerry fan, this news will put a smile on your face, BlackBerry formerly known as RIM claims that it’s instant messaging app – BBM has been downloaded over 10 million times in the last 24 hours alone on Android and iOS. BlackBerry resumed the rollout of the app on Monday after a glitch ridden attempt a few weeks ago.

If these numbers are to be believed, BBM has gotten off to a good start, now what one has to see if how long can this download spree continue and how many of those 10 million people actually start using the IM app.

BBM coming to Android and iOS on June 27 according to T-Mobile UK

Ex-BlackBerry users eager to get their hands on BlackBerry Messenger for Android or iOS will be happy to know that the company will release the application for download on June 27, at least that is if a tweet from T-Mobile UK is to believed.

BlackBerry excited plenty of ex-BlackBerrians on Tuesday when they announced that they would be bringing their popular instant messaging application, BBM to the likes of iOS and Android devices this summer, but one thing remained unclear; would tablets be supported?

Despite Nokia’s best efforts to take some of the shine away from today’s kick off of BlackBerry Live in Orlando, the Canadians took to the stage with pride and delivered quite a successful start to the day. Many things were said and done including the announcement of the new BlackBerry Q5, previously rumoured to be called the BlackBerry R10.

BlackBerry killing BBM Music in June

Roughly 18 months after launching BBM Music, BlackBerry is killing off the social music service and referring users to one of their competitors. From June the company will no longer allow users their 50 song playlist to share with friends over the company’s BBM instant messaging service.
