Despite Nokia’s best efforts to take some of the shine away from today’s kick off of BlackBerry Live in Orlando, the Canadians took to the stage with pride and delivered quite a successful start to the day. Many things were said and done including the announcement of the new BlackBerry Q5, previously rumoured to be called the BlackBerry R10.
BlackBerry’s Torch line has been synonymous with bringing a large touch screen to a slide out QWERTY keyboard, and a recent patent that was granted to BlackBerry indicated that the company may be working on a QWERTY sliding BlackBerry 10 device similar to the BlackBerry Torch 9800.

The United States Patent and Trademark Office has granted a patent BlackBerry filed for back in December 2011 for the design of a new BlackBerry device feature a design similar to the BlackBerry Torch line, but with the lack of the home keys found on non-BlackBerry 10 devices. The design has leaked before as a render with the device supposedly forming part of the BlackBerry 10 M-series, with it being codenamed the BlackBerry Milan.
BlackBerry Live is less than a month away and rumour has it that BlackBerry will unveil a few new BlackBerry 10 devices at the conference. What would you like to see from the ailing smart phone giant?
