A New Nexus 8 May Release Soon, To Be Made By Asus!

google-not-nexus-tabletThe Nexus series, specially the Nexus 7 has been a benchmark tablet to lead the industry in terms of best specs at rock bottom prices. There were rumours of  an 8 inch version of the Nexus slate and here is some update on the same.

According to a report “sources from the upstream supply chain”, Google might turn its attention to the eight-inch tablet market, with plans for a Nexus 8 by mid-2014. The same report says that Asus would be the manufacturer and Intel’s Bay Trial-T would be the preferred power plant.

HP Is Back With Tabs, After A Massive Failure.

HP-Slate-6-press-645x362HP launched two tablets aimed at the Asian, specially the Indian subcontinent – the Slate 7 and the VoiceTab 8, both are aimed at customers.

On the specs front, the Slate 6 features an IPS LCD display of 1,280 x 720 resolution, while the Slate 7 VoiceTab features a 1,280 x 800 display. The specs seem largely similar: a quad-core processor of an unspecified brand, 16GB of internal storage with an expansion slot, front-facing stereo speakers, five megapixels cameras on the rear, and two megapixels on the front. The devices will be running Android 4.2 with some modifications from HP.

ASUS K009 passes FCC; Nexus 7 successor with LTE

Common sense and recent rumours have suggested that ASUS and Google are preparing a successor to the hugely popular ASUS Google Nexus 7, which by all indications has become the best selling Android powered tablet of all time. The $199 tablet took the world by storm when it brought a great set of features to a low price range.
