Google has agreed to pay a hefty $17 Million for unauthorized tracking of software on Apple’s safari web browser. New York State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman announced the agreement on Google’s “unauthorized placement of cookies on computers using Apple Safari Web browsers during 2011 and 2012.
A Google spokesperson confirmed the agreement and said in a statement: “We work hard to get privacy right at Google and have taken steps to remove the ad cookies, which collected no personal information, from Apple’s browsers. We’re pleased to have worked with the state attorneys general to reach this agreement.”
Google has agreed and acknowledged the issue saying that they respect user security and would keep a better check on such activities.
With the markets raving and experimenting the fundamental uses of Smartwatches, one thing that remains common is the ongoing rumor roundups of two biggies – Apple and Google entering and saving the sad state of watches that act as an extension of our smartphones as of now.
While users on other side trying to make do with the learning curve associated with these devices, there are some like the Pebble who have really shown a direction to these manufacturers. One manufacturer may be looking to shake things up – Apple . Reports suggest that Apple intends to introduce a pair of iWatch models with varying screen sizes: one for men, and one for women.
Apple is apparently planning to bring in two variants – one for men and the other for women with differences only in the screen sizes with one measuring 1.7 inches and the other at 1.3 inches respectively both boasting OLED displays for better readability. However, it’s wise to wait as of now till we have any word on what apple intends to make these devices work on and how different will they really be compared to current offerings.

Apple is allegedly working on a curved display iPhone with a bigger screen for the second half of 2014 say folks at Bloomberg who say they have some sources at Apple to back this up. The expected iteration of the iPhone would make a public appearance in the second half of 2014 and would also feature a technology (that Apple is now working on) which would sense different level of pressures on the touch panel.
Apple is rumoured to introduce two and not of these and will reportedly be Apple’s largest phones to date, at 4.7 and 5.5 inches. However, these two devices are rumoured to be stuck in their testing phases as we speak. We are aware that Apple does lots of experimentation in terms of hardware and testing and we would still keep ourselves a bit skeptical till we see any official hints being dropped by Apple.
Remember the impending Apple iPhone 5S rumoured to launch on September 10? Well, things just got a lot more interesting. According to Ming-Chi Kuo, a KGI analyst, the Apple iPhone 5 is likely to come in a 128GB variant, becoming the second Apple iOS device to get the memory bump after the Apple iPad 4.
Kuo has a track record for being quite accurate when it comes to these things so you might want to put away those salt shakers. The Apple iPhone 5S has been rumoured for quite a while and since it will apparently closely resemble the iPhone 5, it’s hard to see which leaks are real and which not. The Apple iPhone 5S with 128GB memory will come at quite a premium though with Kuo believing that it could sell for as high as $499 on contract, so you might want to prepare those kidneys if you want one. He adds that the new iPhone will have a more energy efficient Apple A7 SoC as well as a wider aperture camera which may help with low light photography.
It seems that the wait is almost over for Apple fans around the world. Are you excited to get your hands on the next generation Apple iPhone?
Many Apple fans were mighty disappointed earlier this year when Apple failed to announce a single new iDevice at their annual World Wide Developer Conference in San Francisco, but it seems that the long wait may be over after even more parts have leaked online depicting what could be the Apple iPad 5 and iPhone 5C (or Mini)’s housings.
The upcoming Apple iPad Mini successor has been making headlines all over the world over the last few days after analysts suggested the obvious; that the Apple iPad Mini 2 will feature a Retina display, made by Samsung, but today things got a bit more interesting after the device’s rear panel allegedly leaked showing that there would be no major design changes to the low cost tablet offering from Apple.
Alleged Apple iPhone 5C has its inyards splattered all over the internet, may be the rumoured iPhone Mini
What is cheap and features an Apple logo? Nothing original that’s for sure, but the illustrious, and long rumoured, iPhone Mini, believed to be officially called the Apple iPhone 5C promises to bring the popular premium Apple iPhone to lower price points when it is expected to launch later this year. Said device has even had most of its insides splashed on the interwebs today as no one believes leaks of the supposed plastic rear covers of the device anymore.
IC Tech seems to have caught yet another glimpse of the so called budget iPhone, or iPhone 5C or iPhone Mini, this time having most of its insides shown to the world. One of these parts are allegedly the Apple iPhone 5C’s new front screen and bezel which looks quite similar to that of the Apple iPhone 5, with changes to its plugs, and by the looks of it a slightly thicker bezel. The Apple iPhone 5C has also allegedly had its camera module leaked, showing off a 8MP sensor similar to the one found on the more premium Apple iPhone 5. The Apple iPhone 5C will apparently be the company’s complete low end offering when the next flagship is announced and besides featuring a cheaper plastic rear, it will also have the same 4-inch display found on the iPhone 5.
The Apple iPhone 5C, or iPhone Mini or iPhone Lite, or iPad Nano, whatever you call it, may be one of the company’s best sellers, if it is real that is. The company is expected to announce the device alongside the next line of iPads and this year’s iPhone flagship device, with a date somewhere in September being rumoured. Undoubtedly one of the hottest stories from Cupertino this year, the budget-friendly version of the Apple iPhone may very well be called the Apple iPhone 5C, that is if the latest set of leaks straight out of manufacturer Pegatron, is to be believed. The leak, through an employee of the China Labour Watch, mentions a plastic clad iPhone that is coming to the market in the coming months and likely references the more affordable device.
What looks like the long rumoured Apple iPad 5, but is NOT it? The latest set of renderings from artist Martin Hajek for IC Tech. The renderings, based on leaks from the past as well as some rumours over the last few months, show an elegant device that is in effect a larger Apple iPad Mini by design, or the iPad Mini was based on the iPad 5 from the start…
What isn’t all that small, plastic, carries an Apple logo and can make phone calls? If you guessed the long rumoured Apple iPhone Mini, then you’re spot on, if not, better luck next time. The supposed device, which will feature a plastic rear and a lower price tag compared to the more premium iPhone, has leaked plenty of times with most leaks being criticized for featuring a Chinese knock-off running on Android, but the latest on may very well be real.
