Would You Buy These Fitness Tracking Socks! Eh?

without comments

sensoria-fitness-tracker-smart-socks-645x395If only fitness trackers on hands , arms and chest weren’t enough! Sensoria is bringing fitness tracking to garments other than bracelets and pedometers with its new line of smart socks.

These Sensoria socks are intelligent enough to track your steps, movements, speed and calories thanks to a bunch of sensors. And ofcourse since socks cant accommodate transmitters, there is this ankle band that sends this data to your smartphone so you can keep a record of all those numbers.

Seriosuly this is a great concept but these technologies need to be much more integrated to one device and must not be awkward wearables.

eric-schmidt-steve-jobsGone are the days when comparing the top 2 widely used Operating Systems had significant differences between them to write about. If Simplicity and intuitiveness is what you seek than iOS might be your perfect companion. If a Robust with expanded options, Android is a winner.

While it’s also not new to see the guys behind the biggest companies talk directly to consumers, this is just more well layed out than ever. Eric Schmidt, former CEO and current Chairman of Google, has written a post on Google+ aimed at helping the less technically sound folks to switch from iPhone to Android.

Considerate iPhone Thief Returns Handwritten List Of Contacts To Owner

without comments

originalWe all know the most dreaded part of losing a phone is losing data. To help ease that pain an iPhone Thief in China returned a list of handwritten contacts to the owners address with the original SIM card.

Victim Zou Bin lost his iPhone when he split a cab with a robber, who managed to snag it off him. As soon as he got to another phone, Zou texted the stolen handset and demanded that the robber return it to the home address stored inside.

After a few days he received a parcel containing his SIM card and the phone numbers, the Xinhua agency said, quoting him as saying: “It would take a while to write from one to one thousand, let alone names and a whole string of digits.

Woah, after all the world is not coming to a dead end, or is it?

Anti Google Merchandise by Microsoft Is On Shelfs

without comments

scroogled-merchandise-storeScroogled – the name of the campaign started by microsoft back in march that directly aimed at Google for it’s nature of user information collection. Microsoft continues its attack against Google by taking its Scroogled campaign beyond the online realm, offering merchandise such as mugs, caps, T-shirts and hoodies, with an anti-Google message, on its online store.

Yes there are some Microsoft fanboys who would like and support this campaign but things are more direct than ever. A few months back Microsoft had started Scroogle.com showcasing and illustrating how Google is spamming inboxes with ads instead of protecting them.

Old Mac Pro is a Pro BBQ Grill Too!

without comments

igrill1It’s just about time when friends and family look forward to have a great time over some grilled Barbecue. A Reddit user 100uf posted pictures of a DIY project that he did .

igrill5One prime reason we advice our readers to not go for something like this is as cool as it may look in pictures, cooking on aluminium coated with various chemicals that weren’t meant to be a part of a cooking device only means that one does not know how harmful the process is and what chemicals entire the food that is being cooked.

Possible CyanogenMod Phone tipped to launch soon.

without comments

qualcomm-snapdragon-800CyanogenMod has been really making headlines since earlier this year when it was incorporated. Just last week we saw CyanogenMod introduce it’s installer on the Play Store to attract what they say less tech-savy people. We expect to see a lot more from Cyanogen Inc. over the coming months, and one new rumor out today suggests that includes plans for a full-on CyanogenMod phone.

That means a phone custome built and integrated to run CyanogenMod as it’s only intended OS.One detail that we do have is that it may positively be running on the Snapdragon 8974AC SoC.

We do not know much about the chipset yet but it is going to a Snapdragon 800 series variant. There is some specualtion that Gionee – a Chinese Phone manufacturer may partner with CyanogenMod but that’s far from confirmed.
