The iPad Air is no doubt Apple’s best iPad, yet – it’s sleek and gorgeous and powered with the best in-class hardware, it’s a gadget everyone wants! However, after reading this, some might be a little skeptical about the iPad Air. According to a report in an Australian newspaper, an iPad Air exploded into flames at a Vodafone retail store in Canberra, Australia.
The iPad Air which exploded was a demo model used to show potential customers who visited the store. It wasn’t a minor explosion, it caused a fire which lead to evacuation of the store after which the fire department had to take control of the scene. A Vodafone spokesperson confirmed that a “burst of flames” shot out of the iPad Air’s charging port while tablet was sitting unused. The iPad Air continued to burn until the fire department arrived to extinguish the fire.
Apple hasn’t said much on the incident, however it is said that an Apple rep visited the store and collected the iPad for further inspection. We hope this was a one off incident and we won’t see any repeats, anywhere.

Reports as well as leaked sales document on Geek.com suggest that Samsung’s much hyped and much awaited smartwatch from Samsung is not doing very well. The leaked document suggests that the return rate at a major American retailer is well over 30%, which isn’t something Samsung would have wanted for it’s first smartwatch. Samsung has reportedly asked it’s employees to figure out why the return rates are so high.
Although the product is first of it’s kind, there is very little productive use of the watch which could be seen as one of the reasons for it’s cold start in the market. What do you think?
This dude uses Siri to get a date, got to give it to the guy for using something different than the regular bunch of stale pick up lines. The video has received over half a million views and reportedly a behind the scenes video is also in the works. What do you think?

Yes, finally the long wait for all our Indian readers is over – the Korean smartphone maker – Samsung today in a grand – larger than life event in Gurgaon announced the availability of it’s latest Android flagship for the Indian market. Samsung must be given credit for the super-quick launch of the latest Galaxy smartphone in India, unlike its arch rival Apple who usually takes weeks if not months to roll out a device in India. Samsung surprisingly rolled out the S4 in India ahead of many key markets including US and UK – where the Galaxy S4 will be available early next month and next week respectively. HTC finally launched the long awaited Android flagship – The HTC One in India – the struggling Taiwanese smartphone maker announced the HTC One back in February. The HTC One has a very unique and appealing design with heavy use of metal elements – taking designs of Android flagships to another level all together.
The HTC One packs a 4.7 inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD screen, powered by a 1.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor. The one runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) with the new HTC Sense UI and HTC BlinkFeed. The One also has the much talked about UltraPixel camera on the back with LED Flash and a 2.1MP HD front shooter with 88 wide angle lens with HDR capability.
The HTC One will be available at a market operating price (MOP) of Rs 42,900. It would be in the market by the end of month. The pricing of the One is pretty aggressive (which is very unlike of HTC!) at par with Apple iPhone 5, Sony Xperia Z, BlackBerry Z10 and Nokia Lumia 920 – Samsung will follow suit, with the Galaxy S4, which hopefully will be priced similarly or lower.
