After months of rumours, Samsung today officially unveiled the Samsung Galaxy Round, touted as the world’s first curved-display touting smartphone, a month ahead of the LG Z.
The Samsung Galaxy Round is basically just a curved version of the Galaxy Note 3, without the stylus. The Galaxy Round comes with a 5.7-inch Super Flexible AMOLED FHD display, a 2.3GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable storage, a 13MP rear facing camera, 2,800mAh battery as well as the super speedy LTE Advanced. As you might have guessed, the smartphone will be in limited supply, meaning that when it goes on sale tomorrow, it will be exclusive to South Korean consumers and sadly, it’s set to cost $1,000.
Would you buy a curved smartphone? The curvature makes the device narrower, meaning it is easier to hold and use. Do you think curved smartphones are the next big thing?
