New Android app lets you iMessage your iDevice touting friends

A new application, iMessage Chat, has hit the Google Play store allowing users to make use of Apple’s iMessage chat service despite having an non-Apple, Android-powered device. Of course the application is a safety risk and not in any way affiliated with Apple or made by them.

The application comes from developer/hacker called Jay Freeman, or Suarik, and allows Android device users to make use of Apple’s iMessage instant messaging service by fooling Apple’s servers into thinking that the devices are Mac Minis instead of the malware that it is. It is successful, but routes user’s data through a server in China, making use of their Apple IDs, and of course billing information. So, Android users are free to download and use the service, although Apple is sure to somehow block it in the near future, making it unuseable and making sure that all your private data is stored on some server in China, just waiting to be abused.

If you are so keen on using iMessage, why not just buy an iDevice then? The Apple TV isn’t too expensive, nor is the Apple iPod Touch, especially secondhand models…
