Apple releases launch weekend sales number and iOS 7 adoption numbers much to the shock of the whole world
Unless you have been living under a rock or have been in a medically induced coma for a while, you would have known that Apple’s new iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S went on sale last Friday, just a few days after iOS 7 officially launched globally, crippling Apple’s servers. The company today released some sales data for the weekend as well as download statistics for iOS 7, both of which shocked the world.
Surprisingly, the Apple iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C’s collective sales over the launch weekend was a whopping 9 million units, the most ever for an iPhone launch and over 3 million more than analysts predicted. The iPhone 5S was sold out almost everywhere, with its more affordable sibling still being available. The company has noted that they have been trying their best to supply as much devices as they possibly can. Cupertino also released download numbers for iOS 7, which has only been available for five days, and within that five days it was downloaded onto over 200 million devices, being the fastest adoption of a new operating system to date.
All and all, Apple has exceeded most expectations of everyone, once again proving that Apple is above the rules of nature, and no one can stand in their way.
