LG seems to have everything planned out in their pursuit of Android market dominance as according to a recent interview with one of the company’s executives in Bulgaria, let it slip that the company will be launching a tablet, phablet, smartwatch and Firefox OS powered smartphone in the near future.
Dimitar Valev, LG Bulgaria’s mobile communications head, let it slip in a recent interview with Dnevnik.bg that the company is working on quite a few new products that should give the likes of Samsung and Apple a run for their money. Valev confirmed that the company was working on a 10-inch tablet which is likely to hit the market according to a recent FCC filing, as well as a 6-inch ‘phablet’ which will likely take a stab at the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Note III and HTC One Max. He also went on to state that we’ll be seeing a Firefox OS powered device from the company in early 2014 as well as a smartwatch in the near future which may pack a flexible display.
All in all, it seems like LG has their head screwed on right and who knows, maybe next year they’ll be close to the top of the smartphone ranks.
