What isn’t all that small, plastic, carries an Apple logo and can make phone calls? If you guessed the long rumoured Apple iPhone Mini, then you’re spot on, if not, better luck next time. The supposed device, which will feature a plastic rear and a lower price tag compared to the more premium iPhone, has leaked plenty of times with most leaks being criticized for featuring a Chinese knock-off running on Android, but the latest on may very well be real.

Like with pretty much every alleged leak nowadays, it’s better to take this one with a pinch of salt, heck maybe even a handful of salt. The image above apparently features the upcoming Apple-made smartphone, the alleged budget iPhone, dubbed the iPhone Mini. What makes this leak so intriguing, and possibly real, is that, unlike all of those before it, this leaked image shows a device with a FCC ID alongside the usual Apple logo. The iPhone Mini has been rumoured since 2011 with rumours and supposed leaks intensifying as of late.

The Apple iPhone Mini will supposedly feature a 4-inch 1126 x 640 pixel display, along with 16GB, 32GB and 64GB models which will supposedly carry price tags starting at $349 up to $549. The Apple iPhone Mini will apparently be announced in September with the rumoured date hovering around September 6, just six days short of the iPhone 5′s first birthday.
