The Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 and Galaxy Mega 6.3 were launched in India today with the former going on sale within the following week, the latter however will only arrive on June 10. The lower end version, the Galaxy Mega 5.8 with its 5.8-inch qHD display will be going on sale for a Rs. 25,100 (or $400) whereas the bigger, Galaxy Mega 6.3 with its 6.3-inch 720p HD screen will set you back Rs. 31,490 (or $560). The devices were originally intended on making ‘phablets’ more accessible by bringing them to a lower price range, but considering that the Samsung Galaxy Note II and current ‘phablet’ heavyweight is on sale of Rs. 36,650 in India, users may just shell out a little more, for much more features and a dedicated S Pen stylus.
