The United States Department of Defence today gave several US government agencies the green light to use Apple devices running on iOS version 6. This comes as a great win for Apple which will be able to further expand their reach into governments as well with its hugely successful iPhone and iPad lines. A few weeks ago Samsung’s Knox system was also given the thumbs up, both spelling serious trouble for BlackBerry which has always been known as one of the most secure platforms in the world. BlackBerry’s BlackBerry 10 platform will face some stiff competition within the government, although some faithful users may stay with the company.
Apple is expected to announce its next version of iOS next month at their annual developer conference which may also yield new iPhones and iPads.
