YouTube co-founder, Chris Hurley, today teased a new social video sharing site called MixBit after announcing last month that he would be launching a new video sharing site in the near future.

MixBit.com has gone live, but the service and more information on it has not gone public as of yet. Hurley has decided to tease the new service, which will not be an April Fools joke, instead it seems as if MixBit will be a new approach to the concept of video sharing by bringing users together to not only watch videos, but create them as well.
“Instead of sitting around, we thought you’d want a new site to not only watch cat videos, but create them… together!” the landing page says and then over confidently states that “The future of video is launching soon!”
