Google and Bing have been at each other for quite some time now with the fight escalating with Microsoft’s increasingly dramatic Scroogled ads that take aim at showing users that Bing is superior to Google.

An independent German testing lab, AV-Test, has conducted a study for over a year and a half with over 40 million results yielded to see which search platform results the has the least malware. Google and Bing formed part of 10 million of the results each, Russian offering Yandex provided 13 million results with the remaining results coming from Blekko, Faroo, Teoma, and Baidu. Surprisingly there was no mention of Yahoo. Out of the 5,000 malicious websites found within the results, Google accounted for 272 and Bing for 1,285 making Bing your one-stop-malware-shop.
The results speak for themselves, it seems that Microsoft’s Scroogled campaign has just collapsed on itself. Which search engine do you prefer?
