Microsoft has been rumoured to join in on the smart watch bandwagon (again), but until now nothing has indicated that that was true. Wall Street Journal sources have confirmed that Microsoft is developing a new smart watch after the failure of their SPOT program which included smart watches in it lineup.

According to supply chain insiders, Microsoft is working on a smart watch that will feature a 1.5-inch touch display and may possibly accompanied by a Microsoft made smart phone. The device will supposedly be closely integrated with Windows Phone. The company will supposedly join the likes of Apple, Samsung, Google and LG who are all supposedly working on smart watches of their own.
Microsoft’s failed SPOT program showed that the company was years ahead of market trends, but sadly could not successfully integrate their products into users’ lives as the XBox has. Could Microsoft create a smart watch that can actually compete?
