Windows Blue Milestone 1, also known as build 9364, has hit the web seemingly originating from France. The pre-release version of the upcoming update to Windows 8 is available for download on certain file sharing and torrent sites. Although not a final version of the software, the leak does include a lot of interesting information and shows off some of the improvements users can expect once the update officially rolls out.
Windows Blue will bring in a lot of improvements such as changing tile sizes on the Start screen, smaller and larger icons are now supported, users will also be able to use certain applications side-by-side, Internet Explorer 11 will also be included and more sharing features have been added. SkyDrive has also received deeper integration and a ‘play’ option has been added to the device menu.
There has been no confirmation as of yet on when the update will rollout, but some say that a pre-release version should be made available by Microsoft for the eager beavers that would like to try out an official version before launch.
